🎨 Summer Art Camp: Week 2, Camps 2A & 2B

Week 2 of Summer Art Camp is all about texture, textiles, and getting your hands moving! Campers will explore the world of printmaking and costume design in two unique sessions led by inspiring teaching artists. Whether layering ink or transforming fabric, this week is packed with color, creativity, and hands-on fun.
Each week offers two age-specific sessions:
🖨️ Camp 2A: PRINT LAB
Ages 6–14 | Instructor: Amy Jo Hendrickson
Get ready to roll, carve, and press! Campers in Print Lab will explore the magic of printmaking using jelly plates, foam, and erasers before advancing to professional artist plates for a final print series they’ll be proud of. Led by Minneapolis-based designer and North Dakota native Amy Jo Hendrickson, this camp offers a joyful introduction to both the technical and playful sides of printmaking. Prepare to get inky and have a blast!
🧵 Camp 2B: CREATIVE COSTUMES
Ages 10–14 | Instructor: Kasandra Gregoire
Design it, build it, wear it! In this imaginative fiber-based camp, students will dream up their own costume designs and bring them to life using fabric, paint, and found materials. Grand Forks teaching artist Kasandra Gregoire brings over 16 years of experience to the classroom and a deep love of working with textiles. Campers will learn foundational skills in construction and embellishment while celebrating the fun of wearable art.

🍱 Lunches & Snacks
Optional pre-packed lunch boxes from the NDMOA Café available for $60/week. Or, bring a lunch from home (no refrigeration or heating available). Daily snack included. No vending machine access during camp.
👕 What to Pack
Clothes that can get messy, light layers, comfy shoes, sunscreen, and a water bottle. Lockers provided for personal items.
🖼️ Friday Reception
Join us Friday at 2:00 PM for a camper-designed reception and art show. Bring your camera—artwork goes home at 3:00!
