Join us to kick off our Summer Reading Challenge at the Gilroy Library at the Teen Library Lock-In, an exclusive after-hours party just for teens ages 13 to 18!

This event is JUST for teens. Must be at least 13 years old and no older than 18, no exceptions!
This is a free event but All participants must submit a permission slip signed by a parent or legal guardian. Completed permission slips MUST be submitted by the end of the day on Wednesday, June 18th.
Permission slips are available to pick up from the second-floor Adult Information Desk. They are also be available to download and print at

Permission slip MUST be completely filled out AND signed by both the teen participant and their parent/legal guardian.
Participants must be in the Library by 5:30PM on the day of the event. Check-in is at 5:45PM, and the party begins at 6:00PM, when the Library closes to the public. All participants will be "locked in" until 10:00PM, when they will be released to their designated pick-up person. No early release—once you're in, you're in!
