ABOUT THE TALK & WORKSHOP:
AnnaBrooke will be doing a short presentation about her work at 11, followed by a Q & A. and fiber workshop demonstrating her process. This will take place in conjunction with her exhibition 'What Remains./?' up at GFAA Gallery through June 21.
'What Remains./?' is AnnaBrooke's first fiber solo exhibition, featuring her ongoing series of un-woven wall works that explore themes of gender, memory, and time through materials sourced from domestic spaces.
This is a FREE workshop. There will be materials for about 20 participants and it will be first-come-first-served so be sure to show up a little early.
ABOUT ANNABROOKE:
AnnaBrooke Hill Greene is an interdisciplinary artist from Georgia. She received her MFA in Studio Art from Florida State University where she was the recipient of the Andy McLachlin Memorial Award and MFA Award. She received her BFA from Georgia Southern University with a focus on two-dimensional studies where she received awards including the Betty Foy Sanders Award and Pat Walker Award. Greene has exhibited regionally and nationally with upcoming and recent projects including group exhibitions at the Mint Museum (Charlotte, NC), Pen + Brush (New York, NY), Wavelength Space (Chattanooga, TN), ARTS Southeast + Sulfur Studios (Savannah, GA), along with ArtFields (Lake City, SC) and Create! Magazine. She currently lives and works in Augusta, Georgia as a Lecturer of Foundation Studies for Augusta University's Department of Art and Design.
