Join us for a heart-opening, day-long experience immersed in nature, art, and the soulful energy of Alberta’s Wild Horses. This is more than a painting day—it's a journey into presence, reflection, and healing.
Spring is a magical time with the Wildies—new foals are born, and the herds stay close to the roads to protect their young from predators. It's a rare opportunity to quietly witness these majestic animals in their natural environment.
As we observe from a respectful distance, you’ll be invited to paint what you feel—not just what you see. Let the brush move through emotions that are ready to be acknowledged and expressed. Whether you’re a seasoned artist or simply curious, this is a safe space for creative exploration.
Why Horses?
Horses have a unique ability to mirror our emotions and bring to the surface what lies beneath. For me, being with horses has always brought a sense of calm and connection—especially after a childhood shaped by difficult experiences and broken trust. Horses helped me rebuild that trust. They never asked me to be more than I was. They simply accepted me.
I’ve always been in awe of their strength, their sensitivity, and their ability to sense what we sometimes try to hide—even from ourselves. Horses reflect our deepest truths: the grief, the joy, the anger, the longing. They show us where we shrink and where we shine.
This event is about creating space—for yourself, for your truth, and for your art.
What to Expect:
Gentle observation of wild horses in their natural habitat
Guided creative reflection and painting session
A safe, supportive environment for self-discovery and expression
Connection with like-minded people who value nature, healing, and creativity

🚗 Please arrive on time—we’ll need to drive together to locate the horses.
🌲 No washrooms available—nature will be your option.
Half the proceeds will support Help Alberta Wildies Society, helping to protect and preserve these incredible creatures.
