About the event

571st Legacy Room Dedication and Organizational Day

The 571st Legacy Room is being built in the new hangar of the 571st (now C/2-227th) on Fort Cavazos. The room will contain unit photos, plaques, decor, patches, uniforms, and other memorabilia. The hope is to dedicate the room on August 1st, which will also be an Organizational Day, and will include a re-flagging ceremony to F Co 3-227th. The event will include tours of the Legacy Room, the new Blackhawks, and the simulator, as well as an opportunity to check out the new generation night vision. All former members of the unit are invited to attend.
