Adult Workshop: Hydro-dipped Plant Pots
In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn the vibrant art of hydro-dipping, a technique that uses water and paint to create unique, swirling designs on plant pots. With step-by-step guidance, you’ll transform plain terracotta pots into one-of-a-kind works of art, perfect for your plants or as personalized gifts. Dip painting is easy to learn and creates quick eye-catching results. Please wear clothes that can get paint on them as this project does involve the use of spray paint.

Presenter: Wendy has always enjoyed nature, whether hiking in the mountains or strolling down the beach, finding beautiful shells. As a student, she sought a science-based degree, receiving a Bachelor of Science at Clemson University in 1993. While raising her children on her husband’s family farm, she enjoyed gardening, composting, and teaching the next generation to care for Mother Nature. Wendy taught school for 13 years and led three teams of middle schoolers to the State Envirothon Competition. She now enjoys further sharing her knowledge and love for nature by teaching at Cape Fear Botanical Gardens as an Education Specialist. As an Education Specialist, I enjoy helping others learn to enjoy nature while finding their “creative side”. She wants others to find that perfect combination of nature and knowledge where they can learn without trying and just enjoy the activity.
