Family Art Night: Clay Mushroom Madness at Cape Fear Botanical Garden

Discover the fascinating world of mushrooms! Well take look at the parts of real mushrooms, get inspired by an amazing diversity of mushroom species and then create our own mushrooms with air-dry clay. The clay will dry hard and can be painted at home once dry.

Audience Target: This event is perfect for families looking to spend quality time together while engaging in a creative activity. All ages are welcome, and no prior artistic experience is necessary.

Format: Interactive and family-friendly, this workshop encourages participants to work together, share ideas, and create lasting memories.

Fee Includes:
* All the supplies for each family to create several air dry clay mushrooms
* A mushroom to dissect
* Guided instruction from an experienced teacher
* Light refreshments and snacks
* A unique “Mocktail” to enjoy while creating your art
* Admission to the Garden’s Thursday night hours

Beer and wine may be purchased in the Gift Shop for adults ages 21+.
