VINES: Green Thumb Workshop: Local Foraging 7/12/25

Our wild areas are full of an incredible variety of useful plant and fungi species, you just need to know where and how to find them! Join local ecologist and certified forager Cam Winzinger on a guided walk at IBM Glen to learn which species are useful and which to avoid, how to identify them and their preferred habitats, as well as some of their most common uses! Cam will also review some resources and “next steps” for those who may be interested in furthering their foraging hobby. Remember, everything is edible once, but that doesn’t mean you should eat it; NEVER eat anything found outdoors unless you are 100% confident in its ID or are with someone who is.

This workshop is FREE and open to the public. A suggested donation of $5-$10 is appreciated.
