This is our NINTH Annual R/C WORLDROME at the Encino Velodrome.
*(though it is not our 9th year here, as we've been racing the Encino Velodrome since the last 1980s)
Why WORLDROME? Several years ago some of our racing friends in Japan in conjunction with RCWorld magazine held their RCWorldrome event, and the name was kind of catchy. My friends from Japan came to some of my events in the U.S. so when then came to the VELO I wanted it to be a WORLDLY event.
Now, fast forward to 2025, in a "post covid" world and economy, sadly we don't get our travellers anymore, but their memory still lives in our hearts. Those were very good times.
RC WORLDROME is held at the Encino Velodrome, and though it will never hold a candle to the Velodrome race that started it all so many years ago *RC THUNDERDROME, we do our best to keep this facility alive, primed and ready if ANYTHING in this RC Industry changes and needs a place to showcase fast cars, good racing or great family fun.
WORLDROME IX is on
June 13 - Practice only day - until dusk
June 14 - Gates open at 7 am, practice and signups until 10:30
RACING at 11:00 - 3 rounds + Mains
