To Belle Tout Lighthouse - Guided Walk

Join us on a walk to Belle Tout Lighthouse where we will be shining a light on the last 3,000 years of human settlement along the way. A fascinating insight into days gone by.

Our final guided walk of 2025 around what may have been the largest ancient hilltop enclosure in the country. Archaeological digs have unearthed burial mounds, Beaker pottery and other artefacts as well as a controversial shaft dug by our ancestors 40 metres into the chalk. On reaching Belle Tout Lighthouse, that has featured in the TV series “The Life and Loves of a She-Devil”, you will hear stories of “Mad Jack” Fuller and Parson Darby.
