About the event

Fundraiser for The Trevor Project with The Persisters and Princess June
The Persisters and Princess June come together to benefit The Trevor Project. $10 Suggested Donation. All Ages!

Formed in 2017, The Persisters are an all-women band from the Providence area with an indie-pop rock vibe. They perform an eclectic mix of originals and covers that channel the complexity, badassery and poignancy of life. Gina Bae (electric violin, keyboard, vocals), Martha Iachetta (bass guitar, vocals), Anisa Raoof (guitar), Jen Romanant (lead vocals, guitar) and Susan Weber (drums, vocals) play together to create edgy joyful sounds that invite you to move, sing along and melt into a musical hug all at the same time. When they’re not playing their hearts out, they can be found doing their part to make the world a better place through social activism, fundraising, education, wellness, parenting, art and big-hearted love. 100% of their performances are donated to values-aligned local and national nonprofits.

Princess June is a mystic folk trio from Middletown, Rhode Island composed of singer/songwriters Myah Strauser (Whitefish, MT) Griffin Keeffe (North Kingstown, RI) and Telli Quinn (Middletown, RI).

With an emphasis on rich three-part harmonies, Princess June gets a great deal of their inspiration from bands such as The Mama's and the Papa's, Fleet Foxes, Fleetwood Mac, The Cowsills, Donovan, Nick Drake, Simon and Garfunkel, and many more.

Outside of music itself, much of their inspiration is drawn from nature, spirituality, and the synchronicities of life. Mystic Folk has been described as "Cosmic lullabies for the soul"; with contemplative, uplifting lyrics and soothing organic instrumentals, Princess June delivers just that.

Princess June is recording their first studio album, Beyond the Fence, with producer, Steve Rizzo, at Stable Sound Studios in Portsmouth, RI. They plan to release singles and the full length album on all streaming platforms and in CD format in spring of 2025.
