Dutton Park Common Farm - Working Bee

"Grow what you can, harvest what you need."

Join us for our regular working bee, open to anyone — if you can, please rock up at 8:00am sharp for a garden meeting before getting stuck into the working bee.

Our gardens are bound only by three simple principles:

"1. Nobody owns the garden.
This garden and the food grown in it is the collective responsibility of the community that lives around it. It is a part of the commons. There is no owner, no boss, just a community making collective decisions about their local neighbourhood.

2. The food is free.
The food grown in this garden isn’t owned, so it can never be sold. It’s free for people who need it—and the people who need it most should take the most. Nobody makes any money from this garden.

3. Mistakes are welcome.
Gardens are forgiving. Nothing really matters that much. It’s better to garden and make mistakes than not garden at all."
