Join us at Tūhura for a day of Matariki celebrations!
We'll be exploring the traditions surrounding Matariki with lots of fun activities and some special planetarium shows.
You can get creative at our crafting station, try your hand at the martial art mau rākau, enjoy a demonstration of taoka puoro (traditional Māori musical instruments), and take a closer look at the stars with the planetarium shows Mārama ā Whetū, Waka Whetū, and Night Sky Live.
Bring your whānau, celebrate together, and immerse yourselves in the stories of Matariki.
