Students and supporters of our school of BJJ Dunedin are invited to attend this term's BJJ sports day.
PLEASE NOTE THE START TIMES.
School opens from 08:30am.
Kids, Littles and Middles matches start at 9 am.
Juniors, Teens and Juveniles, arrive from 11:00am
Women's division (ladies class students!), arrive from 1pm
Other adults and masters, arrive from 2:00pm
Everyone should attend! It is social and fun and you will have a minimum of 3 games.
Adults, please remember to pay your sports day fee, of $25. We can take cash on the day. (Kids, your sports day fee is now included in your membership fee.)
For students, attending sports day is a part of your education in jiu jitsu to qualify at your grade. These sports days will prepare you for playing in the regional and national jiu-jitsu competition circuit.
Divisions are organised according to belt, gender and age group. Points are awarded for competitors who receive placings (9 points for gold, 3 for silver, 1 for bronze), and marked on their education transcript (card). Based on these points, a champion for each division will be crowned at the end of year graduation.
Bring your card, water bottle, mouth guard, gi and your attitude of sportsmanship and support!
Parents, family and friends are welcome to attend to support and cheer everyone on! We would appreciate a team of people to volunteer as parent helpers for official positions, like draw keepers, time keepers, score board manager, referees, weigh in officials.
