The launch of Dundee Dub Club
'Oh what a strength when we hold a gathering...'
Dundee Dub Club will run every Wednesday at Church Dundee. A venue in the town centre that is welcoming us to build a community all around the music we love - reggae.
We have a special guest Nga Han travelling from Jamaica to Scotland.
Spiritual Roots Revivalist, Nga Han hails from the Garden Parish of St. Ann, Green Hill district of Jamaica. Coming up from a zone full of anciency, from Grandma's farmlands to Robert Nesta Marley's stomping grounds, Nga Han kept His Majesty's words of truth and rights close at heart. His love for writing poetry from a young age translated into writing songs with and for his uncle Max the DJ. Leaving the hills of Jamaica and on a mission to spread the Word, he was in the midst of the evolution of his craft. Nga Han started playing bass in DC 10 years ago, producing dub music as a part of the "Dub Reishis. After relocating to the West Coast in 2007, bass playing translated into vocals, which seemed a natural progression to search deep for the expression of Jah Word* with Nyabinghi drumming as the backbone.
While on the West coast, He has done shows from Mt. Shasta, up to Oregon with Arkitek Sounds and in the Bay with Peter Lionheart of InnerStanding sounds. Collaborations as well on the East Coast with Circadian Riddims Productions led to a show in Cambridge MA. With clarity of vision and purpose, further alignments led to the linkup with producer extraordinaire, Max Rivera of Roots Natty Records. It was this alignment that led to the David Stone album recordings. So Stay attuned as you enter the world of David over goliath, David Stone...Stone cut out without hands. Keep spreading the word of the Most I, The Living God, HIM teachings, and helping to sing redemption songs as one of HIM suns. Amen*

No matter your experience we can support you and even supply some tunes for you to use. You might also want to help with creating flyers/artwork, decorating the venue, box lifting, or helping at the door - Dundee Dub Club isn't mine, it isn't yours, it's ours.

A sound system is being built in Dundee, ticket sales from Dundee Dub Club will help with this. If you have a sound system and would like to power an evening, drop us a message.
