Celeste Top Sew Along

The Celeste top by Merchant and Mills is a feminine blouse with back buttons and gentle gathers into a waistband. It is loose fitting and has short sleeves.

The pattern is available in UK sizes 6-28. You will need to purchase your own copt of this pattern before coming to class.

Fabric suggestions – lighter weight woven fabrics such as cotton lawn, cotton poplin, tencel, double gauze, choosing something like a cotton poplin that is tightly woven will create a more voluminous silhouette.

You should have some dressmaking experience to attend this class, please just get in touch if you are not sure if this class is suitable for you. The Sew Along sessions are designed to make a good start on your project but you may need to finish some elements of the pattern at home.

What to bring:

Your pre-cut pattern and fabric ready to sew (we don’t have time to cut in class unfortunately).
Basic sewing kit (scissors, pins, chalk etc)
6 x 15mm buttons
Matching thread although you can purchase some on the day.
0.6m of light to mid weight interfacing.
