Join us for an impactful, skill-based training event for 3rd - 5th year medical students “Beyond the knot: from gowning to suturing hands on learning ” designed to empower medical students with hands-on expertise in essential emergency and clinical procedures. Hosted by the Bangladesh Medical Students' Society (BMSS), the only national member organization of the International Federation of Medical Students’ Associations (IFMSA), this event is a window of opportunity for aspiring future healthcare provider to level up their readiness for real-life medical emergencies.
🌟 What to Expect:
Interactive theory sessions on Basic Surgical Techniques, OT etiquettes, Hands-on stations for Cannulation, Suturing, Knotting and more Simulation-based learning led by experienced medical professionals; Networking opportunity with our respected trainers and teachers.
This half-day intensive hands on training will host 50 selected students from across the medical colleges equipping them with vital practical skills that could save lives during emergencies or in resource-limited clinical settings.
This hands-on workshop is designed to introduce medical students and young doctors to the art and science of suturing — one of the most essential surgical skills. Participants will have the opportunity to:
✅ Learn different types of suturing techniques step by step
✅ Practice with proper instruments under guided supervision
✅ Develop precision, confidence, and speed in handling surgical knots
✅ Understand OT etiquette , cannulation practice
This event is the perfect platform to gain practical experience, boost confidence, and prepare for your future in surgery.
