Unwind & Align

Join Urban Solace for a new mindful movement practice designed to help you decompress from the week. Each session will feature dynamic sequences, breath awareness, and gentle stretches to improve core strength an flexibility, amidst the beauty of the Riverwalk. This is a beginner-friendly, functional fitness program is suitable for all ages. No special equipment needed. Water bottle, sunscreen, and weather appropriate attire encouraged as class is completely outdoors.

Unwind and Align takes place each Wednesday at 8am at Robert C. Valade Park, located at 2670 Atwater. Free parking is available in the lot across the street at Chene and Guoin.

Urban Solace is the proud producer of one of the longest-running, FREE, outdoor yoga programs in Detroit. Since 2007, thousands of beginners and exercise enthusiasts (of all ages) have joined US for fun and fitness on the beautiful banks of the Detroit River - to burn calories, meet new friends or simply enjoy the tranquility of nature during this exciting summer series. Classes are produced by Urban Solace Yoga & Wellness in partnership with the Detroit Riverfront Conservancy and sponsored by Priority Health.

This year, we celebrate our 18th season of Wellness on the Riverfront - which will include three weekly offerings designed to support the wellbeing of our community.
