Join us for an exclusive presentation of "More Than Sunday: The Social Service Initiatives of Black Churches in Detroit" with Wallace Bowie III. Wallace, a student at the University of Michigan majoring in African American Studies, explores how nine historically significant Black congregations supported their communities through schools, housing, job programs, and more. The project is based on archival research, original photography, and interviews with community leaders. You and your guests will also enjoy light refreshments, trivia, and a chance to explore the museum.
