Join us for a special Davis Kiwanis luncheon featuring Becky Marigo, a beloved fixture in our community, who will share insights from her remarkable 24 year career at Davis Community Meals & Housing (DCMH). Becky serves as Program Supervisor, Cold Weather Shelter Manager, Case Manager, and Outreach Specialist—all roles she has held with passion and dedication.
Why Attend?
• 24 Years of Heartfelt Service: Becky has guided DCMH programs including transitional housing, cold-weather flex beds, meal services, permanent supportive housing, and day center resources.
• A Vision Realized in the Community: Under her stewardship, DCMH’s flagship Paul’s Place, a unique four story “vertical tiny home village” on H Street, opened to offer emergency beds, transitional housing, and 18 micro apartments for permanent supportive housing. Becky helped bring this innovative, dignified facility to life in Davis.
• Transformation Through Compassion: Listen to stories of resilience—such as Ricardo, who described how Becky encouraged him, recognized potential he couldn’t see in himself, and helped him rebuild his life—“they saved my life”.
• Rooted in Davis: A Davis High alum (class of 1988) with a social work degree from Cal State Northridge, Becky returned home in 2001 to begin her journey at DCMH. For her decades of service, she received the prestigious Brinley Award and was named a Citizen of the Year by the Davis Chamber of Commerce.
Hear how Becky and her colleague Harmony Scopazzi—who has worked alongside her for 18 years—bring compassion, consistency, and advocacy to their clients, meeting them exactly where they are in life and helping them forge pathways toward stability.
