Chainsaw Safety Training, Option 2, June 24, 25, 26, 2025

This three-day program includes the 1 Day Classroom & Field Observation, as well as two additional days of hands-on training in the field, focused on proper chainsaw usage and safety.

For the hands-on dates, each participant must come prepared to cut wood and bring the following items: Hard hat, safety glasses and/or face screen, hearing protection (muffs or plugs), gloves, heavy leather boots or footwear with steel toe and/or chainsaw protection, a chainsaw in proper working order, fuel and bar oil for the chain saw, and appropriate clothing to be working outside all day.

Please bring your own lunch for the two hands-on field training days. Water will be provided, but you may wish to bring a water bottle as well.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND: Employees from Department of Public Works, Parks and Recreation, Building and Grounds, Facilities Maintenance, Water, Wastewater, or any other employees who work with chainsaws, or any supervisor responsible for such employees.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION:

• Space is limited. Limit 1 employees per Member.
• Deadline for registration is June 19, 2025
• There is a “NO SHOW” fee for anyone who registers but then fails to attend the training. Fee of $200 per registrant for the three day training.
