Chainsaw & Chipper Safety Training, Option 1, Tuesday June 24, 2025

Working with chainsaws can be dangerous. Being aware of safety considerations and precautions will protect not only you, but others around you. Aside from operator safety training, attendees will learn valuable cutting tips and techniques during this one day classroom and field observation session.

Attendees need to bring the following items: safety glasses and/or face screen, hearing protection (muffs or plugs), and appropriate footwear for the field observation portion. Lunch will be provided.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND: Employees from Department of Public Works, Parks and Recreation, Building and Grounds, Facilities Maintenance, Water, Wastewater, or any other employees who work with chainsaws, or any supervisor responsible for such employees.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION:

• Space is limited. Limit 1 employees per Member.
• Deadline for registration is Thursday, June 19, 2025.
• There is a “NO SHOW” fee for anyone who registers but then fails to attend the training. Fee of $50 per registrant on this 1-Day training.
• Attendees need to bring the following items: safety glasses and/or face screen, hearing protection (muffs or plugs), and appropriate footwear for the field observation portion.
• Lunch will be provided.
