The second-to-last performance in this year’s Simms Summer Concerts features Shotgun Kelly, a seasoned local tribute band delivering high-energy hits ranging from Adele to AC/DC. Catch them live on Sunday, August 17, at 7 p.m.
With over 13 years in the Comox Valley music scene and beyond, Shotgun Kelly is known for heartfelt performances that bring people together. Vocalist Kelly Everill leads the charge with powerful, emotionally charged vocals, supported by Todd Mitchell on drums, Jeff Gillespie on lead guitar and vocals, and Chris Hardmann on bass. Whether it’s a soulful ballad or a hard-hitting rock anthem, this band puts their heart into every song.
The music winds down just before sunset at around 8:30 p.m. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and soak up the sounds in the riverside setting of Simms Millennium Park, located by the 5th Street Bridge and across from Lewis Park.
The Simms Summer Concerts season finale takes place the following Sunday, August 24. The Doobie Brothers Experience will bring their tribute to the stage, and the evening will also include a food bank drive.
