Sun Printing w/ Elisa Peña

Description

Students will learn about the process of cyanotype, or sun printing. They will receive a brief history lesson on the importance of cyanotype and its predation of traditional photography in capturing botanical collections. They will then use this process to make some beautiful and vibrant prints of their own!

All supplies provided

Please note that all children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian

Instructor Bio:

Elisa Peña is the self employed artist and owner of Artistrybyelisa. While a Texas State University graduate with a B.F.A. in Communication Design, Elisa is based in their hometown, Corpus Christi, Texas. Elisa strives to create work representative of identity, as well as pop culture, through media including printmaking, digital art, painting, and fiber arts. They love making traditional art as well as merchandise that makes their work more accessible to the masses!
