Meet Stacey Joy Rossouw, the artist-curator behind The Time Lab, and learn about how she transformed our special exhibition gallery into a participatory research space this summer.

Stacey has been exploring Wordsworth’s concept of the ‘Spot of Time’ – a moment of heightened perception that lingers in the memory – and inviting visitors to share special memories of their own. Through drawing, music and other artistic processes, Stacey has been creating an ‘evolving archive of contemporary memory’, in the same landscape that shaped Wordsworth’s own work. The Time Lab closes on Saturday 1 November, so this event on 3 October is an opportunity to see the project as it nears completion.

'By collecting and translating present-day ‘spots of time’, I am not attempting to recreate Wordsworth’s experience, but rather to explore the resonance between his moments and those of the visitors today. How do the moments shared by visitors in this place echo, diverge from, or transform the kinds of temporal experiences Wordsworth recorded?' – Stacey Joy Roussow
