A Way with Words: An Evening with Martha & Grant

Join South Carolina ETV and Public Radio, in partnership with the ETV Endowment of South Carolina, for a special event with A Way with Words, the popular show broadcast on SC Public Radio about language, culture and communication. Hosts Martha Barnette and Grant Barrett will share behind-the-scenes stories, answer questions and engage the audience in a lively discussion about the ways language shapes our lives. This event takes place in Johnson Hall at the Darla Moore School of Business.

Exclusive Meet & Greet

Before the main event, a special Meet & Greet will be held for VIP ticket holders from 5:45-6:45 p.m. This intimate gathering offers a chance to chat with Martha and Grant, snap a photo and get a behind-the-scenes look at their work. VIP ticket holders will also enjoy premiere seating for the main event.

A Way with Words is an upbeat and lively public radio show and podcast that explores language through culture, history and family. Each week, listeners call in to discuss word origins, slang, regional dialects, grammar and more with co-hosts Martha Barnette and Grant Barrett. Since its launch in 1998, the show has gained a devoted nationwide audience and is broadcast in 43 states across the U.S. and beyond. A Way with Words can be listened to on SC Public Radio every Saturday from 12-1 p.m.
