In Episode 8 of 𝗤𝗨𝗜𝗗𝗗𝗜𝗧𝗬(𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗲 𝘅 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱) Season 2, we feature 𝗟𝗼𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗲𝗻𝗴 𝗢𝗻𝗻, who has been dabbling in theatre since the eighties, when he first discovered he could trade in his boring existence for that of infinitely more colourful characters on stage, performing both locally in Singapore and internationally in Australia, Japan, Malaysia, and the Philippines. He will be joined by 𝗟𝗼𝗸𝗲 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗼 𝗫𝘂𝗻—a Singapore-based bass musician and community organiser, and founder of Blacklight Raves, whose music channels raw, honest, and intense emotions through primal and powerful sounds. Heavily influenced by electronic music, Shao Xun crafts immersive sonic experiences with an array of analogue effects pedals, sample drum pads, and bass guitar.

𝗠𝗜𝗔𝗢 𝗗𝗔𝗡𝗖𝗘 淼舞 is proud to present 𝗤𝗨𝗜𝗗𝗗𝗜𝗧𝗬 (𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗲 𝘅 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱), an hour long improvisation jam between one theatre practitioner and one musician / sound artist.

Exploring the intersectionalities and possibilities of the sonic and physical realms, the performance project aims to promulgate the concepts of improvisation, exploration, experimentation and collision.

Artists are challenged to meet on the afternoon of performance day at 5pm to discuss their strategies (if any) for the evening's improvisation performance at 8pm. The spontaneity of each unique sharing thus underscores its own ephemerality, for makers and viewers.
