In Episode 7 of 𝗤𝗨𝗔𝗡𝗗𝗔𝗥𝗬 (𝗕𝗼𝗱𝘆 𝘅 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱) Season 5 features 𝗧𝗮𝗻 𝗝𝗶𝗲 𝗤𝗶𝗻𝗴, a yangqin musician and First-Class Honours graduate from the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts. A resident musician with the award-winning Ding Yi Music Company and former Principal yangqin of the Singapore National Youth Chinese Orchestra, she has performed with top ensembles and in concert halls across Beijing, Shanghai, and Taiwan. She is joined by 𝗠𝗼𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗱𝗿𝗲𝘇𝗮 (𝗠𝗼𝗺𝗼) 𝗔𝗸𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗶, an Iranian-Canadian dance artist whose interdisciplinary background in mathematics, physics, and theater informs his movement practice. Based across Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal, San Francisco, and Brussels, Momo’s work draws from Flying Low, Passing Through, Butoh, Grotowski-based theater, and martial arts.

Exploring the intersectionalities and possibilities of the sonic and physical realms, the performance project aims to promulgate the concepts of improvisation, exploration, experimentation and collision.

Artists are challenged to meet on the afternoon of performance day at 5pm to discuss their strategies (if any) for the evening's improvisation performance at 8pm. The spontaneity of each unique sharing thus underscores its own ephemerality, for makers and viewers.
