The 26th edition of the legendary Swiss Club Oktoberfest will be staged at the Tent @ Bukit Tinggi, in the expansive grounds of the Swiss Club Singapore, for five days from Wednesday, 17 September to Sunday, 21 September 2025. Apart from short hiatuses during wartime and the recent coronavirus pandemic, this epic celebration has been a much-anticipated annual event at the historic and recently renovated Swiss Club.
Last year’s Swiss Club Oktoberfest broke all previous records for attendance, attracting almost 12,500 revellers over five days. Not surprisingly, beer, wine and merchandise sales all exceeded the previous year’s tallies. Due to powerful word-of- mouth and the eagerness of returning guests to relive the sheer fun of previous years’ partying, tickets were sold out weeks in advance of the event.
Open to both Swiss Club Members and the general public, the Swiss Club Oktoberfest brings together people of all ages, nationalities and backgrounds. After three evenings of corporate bookings, which see leading international companies hosting and toasting their partners and clients, the ‘main event’ will unfold on Saturday, 20 September.
True to tradition, every evening of the Swiss Club Oktoberfest will begin with the customary tapping of the barrel ceremony, which signals the start of festivities. From that point on, the partying will escalate to energy levels that really must be experienced first-hand to be appreciated. The majority of guests enter the spirit of the occasion and come dressed in German national costume – lederhosen (or short shorts) for the gentlemen, and waist-cinching dirndls for the ladies. Some even come dressed in novel costumes resembling giant beer bottles and such.
Diets will be ditched for a stupendously hearty buffet, which includes all the German staples of sausages, schnitzels, roast pork knuckles, roast chicken, and a whole spit- roasted ox. To wash it all down, litres of ice-cold Paulaner lager, weissbier and dunkel will flow continuously. For the non-beer drinkers, selected wines, spirits and soft drinks will also be served.
The final day of Oktoberfest, known as Frühschoppen Sunday, is a family-friendly celebration with a bouncy castle, cotton candy, popcorn and ice cream carts, and a magic show. Typically, many families come dressed in traditional lederhosen and dirndls, giving rise to priceless photo opportunities.
Tickets for the 26th Swiss Club Oktoberfest range from $90 to $145 per adult, with drinks and souvenirs sold separately
