Join local chefs, farmers, and community foodies for a panel discussion inspired by the exhibition Farm to Table: Food and Identity in the Age of Impressionism. Just as in late-nineteenth century France, our relationship to food still serves as a poignant reflection of how we live and who we are. Through thoughtful conversation from a variety of perspectives, we will explore how food and national identity, changing notions of restaurant culture, agricultural methods, and food networks relate to contemporary culture and creative expression.
Panelists include:
Adam Cobb, Culinary Director at Turner Farm
Jeff Harris, Owner of Nolia Kitchen and James Beard Award Nominee
Mary Knight, Director of Food for the Soul
Abby Lundrigan, Chief Operating Officer and Crop Production Manager at Turner Farm
Stephen Williams, Executive Chef at La Soupe
Annie Wood, Owner and Farmer at Dark Wood Farm
The 21st annual Benesse Lecture is endowed by the Benesse Corporation.
