Brewery District Sign Unveiling

In 2008 The Brewery District commissioned the Ohio Historical Society to create a historic marker illustrating the story of the remaining brewery structures on and near West McMicken, also known as “Brewers Boulevard”. For several years this historic marker was a signpost to pedestrians and tour groups, telling the story of Cincinnati’s brewing heritage.

Unfortunately, in 2020 the sign was vandalized and knocked off its post and put away for safekeeping.

Thanks to generous donations from neighborhood residents Tina and Bob Sehlhorst and the Mohawk Neighborhood Community Development Corporation, the sign has been repaired and will be remounted and unveiled for public viewing. To celebrate this event we thought it would be appropriate to reintroduce the sign, tell the story and then walk across the street to a historic brewery location, the Cincinnati Beverage Company Brewery, and have a beer and celebrate.

Let’s face it, we’re always looking for an excuse to get together and have a beer! Please make plans to join us for this celebration!
