Sylvia Ewing is a certified meditation instructor. Her students include corporations, universities, governments, and Comer Children's Hospital, for whom she created a guided meditation audio series. Sylvia has offered meditation at the Light of Truth: Ida B. Wells National Memorial since the Festival's inception in 2022. She is also a poet and media personality. (www.sylviaewing.com)

Info: The 5th Annual Ida B. Wells Festival: Celebrating Bronzeville is scheduled to take place on Saturday, June 27, 2026. MARK YOUR CALENDARS. It will be another full day of fun and educational activities.

Peterson is a passionae historical sites interpreter with over twenty years experience. She enjoys teaching students of all ages about history in the non-traditional classrooms of the museum or historic sites. Originally from Central Illinois, Peterson considers herself a proud Chicagoan and is enthusiastic so share her love of Chicago history with local and international guests.
