International Hip-Hop recording artist, Substantial, is a Maryland-born MC, producer, and educator known for his collaborations with the late Nujabes, and work on music for games like PUBG Mobile and more. Legendary rapper and activist Chuck D of Public Enemy referred to Substantial as “ one of the great MCs of our time.” Substantial is a Billboard charting, two-time Hollywood Music in Media Award nominee, who has performed in 20 countries worldwide while serving as an educator, youth advocate, and cultural diplomat.

Started in 2013, the Argyle Night Market is an annual event that features local food and retail vendors plus live cultural and musical performances on Thursday evenings each summer. Part market, part street festival, this event is located on Argyle, the city’s first shared street, hosted by Uptown United.
