Snorkeling Survey - BioBlitz 2025

Join JSU Professor and Herpetologist Dr. Grover Brown as he and other leading biologist guide this exciting adventure at Canyon Mouth Park! Look for turtles, hike the trail, and learn something new about the wonderful reptiles and amphibians in the Little River Canyon National Preserve.

Stick around for a full 24 hours of fun BioBlitzing the Little River National Preserve.

Friday, May 30
- 10:00 AM: Guided hike on Powell Trail
- 1:00 PM: Guided hike on Beaver Pond Trail
- 6:00 PM: Special presentation by Executive Director of Alabama Audubon Dr. Scot Duncan.
- 7:30 PM: Guided night hike to Little River Falls
- 8:15 PM: Mothing and Black Lighting at Little River Falls.
Saturday, May 31
- 7:00 AM: Birding at Canyon Mouth Park
- 10:00 AM: Snorkel survey at Canyon Mouth Park.
