LEMON BOY
Self-proclaimed “sour punks” LEMON BOY are the latest DIY gem to emerge from Seattle. The brainchild of Nicole Giusti and Yaz Ahsani, these scrappy punkers take on religious trauma, racism, and life as a femme POC on their debut album, Eat. Skate. Die. They’re sweet as pop-punk, sour as riot grrrl, and ready to be your new faves.
HATERS
Self-described as “a joyous giant pastel pink heart-shaped helium balloon full of razor blades and broken glass,” Australian three-piece Haters draw inspiration from groups like Fontaines D.C., The Beths, IDLES, and The Clash to craft a unique blend of garage, indie and punk, complete with sharp, candid and deliberately uncomfortable lyrics.
Shiv and the Carvers
This self-proclaimed “roller-skate punk” outfit has been blasting through the Toronto punk scene since 2021. The band’s live performances are filled with pure sonic smut, sweat, and leopard print — get a taste via the single “Danger Girl.” With sexily political lyrics and strutting rock riffs, Shiv and the Carvers stand ready to unlock your inner reprobate.
Quit It!
Changing the world can, in fact, be fun, and hometown punkers Quit It! are rocking proof of that. This crew of Cowtown scene vets delivers socially conscious anthems with a smile and a swing, going for the jugular with a bouncing take on Fat Wreck-style punk rock that inspires thinking, talking, and moshing.
