Reset: A New Year Breathe
Leave 2018 with a clean slate, go into 2019 clear. These three powerful practices - kundalini yoga, breathwork, and gong meditation - allow the body and the psyche to process any lingering patterns so that we can properly complete this year before moving into the next. The session consists of facilitated intention setting, accessible yoga practices to warm the body up, a long period lying on the floor and breathing deeply, and a sound bath via the gong to let it all land. You will leave feeling lighter, more free, and radiant.
Kundalini yoga is the yoga of awareness; it draws on tradition and technology that uses asana (poses), meditation, and mantra (sound) for creating powerful shifts in physical well-being, expanding consciousness, and tapping into creativity.
Breathwork combines ancient shamanic pracitces, eastern philosophy, and western psychotherapeutic techniques to open to new depths of the present moment in a way that enables us to bypass the cognitive brain and tap into a deeper wisdom. It allows for emotions, memories, and sensations that are stored in the physical body to unravel and repattern so that we can live from a place of clarity, solidness, and truth.
Gong meditation facilitates nervous system regulation and integration of the insights that can arise during breathwork. It provides a deep meditation so that we can bring the new experiences of presence and peace into our daily lives.
All parts of the practice are accessible to all body types, all physical abilities, and all levels of experience - please note the studio space is up one flight of stairs and no lift is available. Come dressed in comfortable layers with a yoga mat if available; also bring a pillow and blanket (if possible, there will be a few spares), a water bottle, and a journal and pen.
Parking for this event is available in the Rouge Restaurant parking lot, behind the Inglewood Credit Union (after 6 pm), and in the free city parking lot just off 12 st SE. Soul Path Institute is a converted house, and the studio space is accessed through the back door.
