Cinema Classics Seminar: 12 ANGRY MEN (1957)

When thinking about iconic trial movies, 12 ANGRY MEN (1957) is among the first that comes to mind. Yet it is utterly distinct from most other films of the genre because it is entirely focused on jury deliberations rather than courtroom arguments. Its restrained style and single location could have made it uncinematic but instead created a powerful and beloved film. This seminar will investigate why.
