Music Director David Hayes leads the Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia in a performance featuring virtuoso pianist Henry Kramer in Mendelssohn’s brilliant Piano Concerto No. 1—a work celebrated for its exhilarating energy and lyrical beauty, perfectly suited to showcase Kramer’s remarkable artistry. The program concludes with Mendelssohn’s breathtakingly beautiful Symphony No. 1 in C minor, Op. 11, composed when he was just fifteen.
