Kick off Pride with a panel celebrating YA/New Adult stories and authors, featuring Carlyn Greenwald (M**der Land), Christina Li (True Love & Other Impossible Odds), Page Powars (And They Were Roommates), and Joelle Wellington (The Blonde Dies First)! All ticket proceeds will be donated to the Sylvia Rivera Law Project.
Carlyn Greenwald writes romantic and thrilling page-turners for teens and adults. A film school graduate and former Hollywood lackey, she now works in publishing. She resides in Los Angeles, mourning ArcLight Cinemas and soaking in the sun with her dogs. You can find her on Instagram @carlyn_gee.
Christina Li is the award-winning author of children’s and young adult books Clues to the Universe, Ruby Lost and Found, and True Love and Other Impossible Odds, which have been selected as a Washington Post summer book club pick, one of the NPR and New York Public Library Best Books of the Year, and recognized for the Asian Pacific American Librarians’ Award for Best Children’s Literature. She graduated from Stanford University with degrees in Economics and Public Policy. She grew up in the Midwest and California, but now resides in New York. The Manor of Dreams is her adult literary debut. You can follow her on Instagram @ChristinaLiWrites, X @CLiWrites, and TikTok @CLiWrites. For more information, visit her website at ChristinaLiWrites.com.
Page Powars writes books during the day, helps with music soundtracks at night, and obsesses over video games every second in between. His works include the Indie Next and Indies Introduce pick The Borrow a Boyfriend Club and And They Were Roommates. Whether YA or Adult, he aims to spread the joy of his identity, surrounding his trans protagonists in jokes and romance. Page received a BFA from the University of Michigan's School of Music on a foster care or compromised support network scholarship, then an MS in Publishing from NYU. Now in his twenties, Page lives in the NYC area. Find him on TikTok or Instagram @pagepowars and pagepowars.com.
Joelle Wellington grew up in Brooklyn, New York, where her childhood was spent wandering the main branch of the Brooklyn Public Library. Her love of the written word led her to a BA in creative writing and international studies. When she isn’t writing, she’s reading and when she’s not doing that, she’s attempting to bake bread with varying degrees of success or strengthening her encyclopedia-like pop culture knowledge. She’s the author of Their Vicious Games, The Blonde Dies First, and Girls Who Play Dead.
