Integrated Pest Management: What's in Your Tool Kit?

Home gardening can feel like a constant struggle against insects, weeds and diseases. Fortunately, gardeners have a lot of tools available to manage pests in their gardens, while still protecting people, pets, and the environment. Master Gardener Holly Votaw will introduce the basics of Integrated Pest Management, or IPM, a comprehensive approach that offers a whole tool kit of strategies and tactics for minimizing pests and maximizing the health of your garden. The talk will include tips on a few of the "usual suspects" causing problems in Transylvania County this year.
