Dr. Tracee Metcalfe is an internal medicine physician and the first U.S. woman to summit all fourteen of the world’s 8,000-meter peaks, including Everest, Annapurna, K2, and Nanga Parbat. Her story is one of summiting the world’s highest peaks while navigating the valleys of personal challenge, sharing lessons learned from both mountain and mind.

Based in Colorado, where she honed her mountain skills on the state’s iconic 14ers, Tracee blends a career in medicine with adventure at altitude. Her journey goes beyond the summits, illustrating how resilience, adaptability, and community are vital—not only on the world’s tallest peaks but also in overcoming personal and professional obstacles. She supports organizations empowering young women and aiding rural Nepal and Pakistan, and uses her experience to inspire others to pursue growth, even through adversity.
