About the Event: Join us for an unforgettable experience of music, dinner, and discussion in 100% darkness! The Boulder Blind Cafe Experience is an internationally touring positive social change event that challenges you to engage socially without relying on sight.

What's Included:
A dark chocolate tasting social during the reception period
A special mystery tapas menu designed to open up your senses and promoting a social and informal atmosphere sharing dinner with others in your community shared tables.
*The main goal of a tapas menu is to encourage social interaction and allow diners to sample a variety of flavors in a relaxed setting.

It's a diverse collection of dishes ranging from cold appetizers like mixed olives and cheese to hot dishes like croquettes or spicy potatoes.

The Blind Cafe’s mission is to use the concept of engaging socially in 100% darkness to inspire and initiate ‘positive social change’ in the lives of everyone who participates in our programs. We seek to entertain and educate persons on how to relate to themselves and others with a greater sense of compassion and offer an experience that inspires them to think, feel and behave beyond their visual conditioning, social etiquette and their cell phones.
The Blind Cafe Experience began in 2010 when American songwriter Rosh, inspired by a "cafe in the dark" experience in Reykjavik, Iceland, launched The Blind Cafe Experience pop-up events, featuring a community family style dinner, a social impact discussion with legally blind ambassadors and a live concert of original music performed in 100% darkness accompanied by an evolving orchestral group ‘Rosh & The Blind Cafe Orchestra’
In 2011, Rosh partnered with Lead Blind Ambassadors James Jackson and performing song-writer Richie Flores to bring something positive to the world that makes real connections happen. Something to help pull people out of their usual ruts and into something real.
The Blind Cafe Experience is an award winning positive social change dinner, discussion & intimate music experience held in 100% darkness, no blindfolds! You will will break bread in community over a dinner, engage in a social impact Q&A with legally Blind Ambassadors, and lose yourself to an intimate music experience… all held in 100% pure, certified organic darkness!
What's on the menu? Community...a dinner in the dark experience, dark chocolate, good friends, inspiring stories, live music and meaningful conversation all in the dark. We hire a local professional Chef or partner with a local caterer to prepare a fixed mystery dinner in the dark menu (gluten free / vegan friendly)
In our award winning community awareness discussion, you will participate in a group discussion Q & A, between the audience ( you ) and our amazing warm heart felt legally blind keynote speakers & ambassadors. They will share their personal stories with you and you will have the chance to learn, ask questions, and discuss blindness in the dark with the entire room all paying attention.
