Motus Theater, with Congregation Har HaShem and Congregation Bonai Shalom, present a performance of Motus UndocuAmerica monologue “The Meaning of Courage” by Cristian Solano-Córdova and co-read by Rabbis Fred Greene and Marc Soloway with musical responses from Cantor Devorah Avery.
In this special collaboration, Motus monologist Cristian—an immigrant with DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals)—shares the story of his journey to the United States with his mother and sister. His monologue reflects on the challenges of growing up with the constant fear of deportation and his efforts to protect his American-born baby sister. The performance is underscored live by beloved Colorado violinist Anthony Salvo.
Social time with light fare starts at 6:30 pm. Performance starts at 7:00 pm and has a duration of an hour.
Regardless of your ideas about immigration policy, come together for an afternoon of beautiful and profound monologues, music and community, as we get to know more about our undocumented neighbors.
This event is co-hosted by the Boulder JCC.
