Join us on August 7th at Colorado Brazil Fest for an unforgettable night of Brazilian jazz, headlined by acclaimed guitarist Gabriel Santiago. Performing a mix of his original compositions and special arrangements of Brazilian jazz classics, Gabriel will be joined by an outstanding band featuring Peter Stoltzman on keyboards, Gonzalo Teppa on bass, and Adriano Santos on drums. Adding to the magic of the evening, singer Gisele Duque will deliver a powerful set of Brazilian MPB classics. This dynamic ensemble brings together Brazilian rhythms, jazz improvisation, and melodic sophistication for a night of incredible music and vibrant energy.

About Gabriel Santiago:
A native of Brazil, is a distinguished composer, arranger, and virtuoso on both
acoustic and electric guitars. With a prolific career spanning 14 albums, including CDs and DVDs, Santiago has garnered acclaim for his compositions, hailed as "stunners" by JazzTimes Magazine.
Renowned as "a young master at both the acoustic and electric guitars", Santiago's musical journey includes invaluable mentorship from jazz luminaries such as Pat Metheny, Adam Rogers, and Maria Schneider. He is the recipient of numerous accolades, including the ASCAP Young Jazz Composer Award, further highlighting his exceptional talent and contribution to the music industry.
Notably, Santiago holds a Doctoral Degree in Music Composition from the University of Texas at Austin. His collaborations span a diverse spectrum of artists, from Chris Potter and Stefon Harris to John Clayton and Janek Gwizdala, from Odair Assad and Gilson Peranzzetta to André Mehmari and Romero Lumbambo. He also had the honor of being the first artist to record with renowned Recording Engineer Master Rupert Neve's inaugural line of microphones.
Beyond his instrumental prowess, Gabriel Santiago is a versatile composer, crafting music for a broad array of ensembles – from Symphony Orchestras to Jazz Combos, and everything in between.
