Join us for a special event on our famous creek patio, a lively concert featuring the local AUPA band!
AUPA was born in the summer of 2021 in Boulder, Colorado. This group is hybrid both musically and ethnically. Its members come from Spain, Puerto Rico, Colombia, and the United States, and have achieved a powerful musical fusion with very little time for rehearsals or preparation. Their sound blends elements of flamenco with the rhythmic richness of Latin music, the spirit of reggae, and the energy of rock, creating a fresh and vibrant musical experience.
The group began by composing 10 original songs and preparing a few covers in just two weeks, with the goal of performing at a community event in Boulder. As a result of that creative explosion, the band decided to record their first single: Balneario de Archena, a song that tells the story of a place in Murcia, Spain, where lead vocalist Dharam Medina grew up.
That initial spark led the group to embark on recording a full album of 13 songs, including their first single. This is how Balance Cósmico was born—a project released on March 15, 2024, across all major music platforms.
AUPA is made up of six talented musicians:
Alei Ramos (Puerto Rico) and María Gomez (Colombia) on percussion,
Phil Steven (Washington D.C.) on electric guitar,
Adams Jennings (Arizona) on bass,
Kasey Schelling (Chicago) on vocals,
and Dharam Medina (Spain) on guitar, flute, and vocals.
The group’s main purpose is creativity, connection, and the pure joy of making music. You won’t want to miss this sonic journey that crosses borders and unites cultures!
