Rootless x Flora & Fungi present Seaweed & Urchin Foraging w/Seaside Brunch

Join team Rootless for a coastal adventure with chef, author, and seaweed expert Maria Finn of Flora & Fungi of Marin as we explore the vibrant intertidal ecosystem of the southern Sonoma coast. We'll forage for wild seaweed and urchins, learn about their relationship, and what their dynamics tell us about our ocean ecosystems. You’ll also learn about sustainable seaweed harvesting techniques and best culinary uses for them, how to clean sea urchin, and enjoy an artisanal, seaweed-powered light brunch by the sea.

Whether you're seaweed-obsessed or just seaweed-curious, whether you love uni, or just want to help our coastline by gathering them, this is your chance to connect with community, learn something new about our incredible intertidal ecosystems, and sample and celebrate delicious and nutritious fruits and veggies of the sea—together.

• Transportation is not included.
• A Fishing license is required if you plan to harvest and take home urchins. You can purchase a one-day license for $20.
