Woomb is one of the most captivating new acts rising from Southeast Europe - a London / Sofia based duo that expands into a dynamic five-piece band on stage. The project is fronted by Hristo Yordanov, a young singer-songwriter with a background in visual arts, and Gueorgui Linev, the LA-based composer and producer known for founding Kan Wakan and working with artists like Baby Keem, Thundercat, Moses Sumney, and Emily Armstrong (Linkin Park).
Their story began with a chance encounter at a house party and quickly grew into a creative bond shaped by a love for Cocteau Twins, Portishead, Björk, and Slowdive.
In late 2023, they released their debut single “Last Rays”, accompanied by a striking video drawing on Bulgarian paganism, Greek myth, and biblical motifs. Their debut EP, To Never Fear the Sun, dropped in October 2024 and set the tone for their emotionally charged, genre-defying aesthetic.
The next chapter begins with the release of “Powerless” later this summer, featuring drummer Joey Waronker (Radiohead, Atoms for Peace, Beck, Oasis).
Woomb has quickly moved from local secret to regional phenomenon, with recent showcases across the Balkans and Central Europe. This season includes appearances at Electric Castle (Romania), Sziget Festival (Hungary), Reeperbahn (Germany), Ship Festival (Croatia), BUSH – Budapest Showcase Hub.
Their recent remix releases feature reinterpretations by Dutch avant-garde composer LudoWic and Spanish experimental collective Cult Friends, extending their cinematic world into new dimensions.
"Dark, mysterious, a little gothic, very theatrical, and sometimes just behind a wall of bombastic rock" - Kevin Cole, KEXP
“So young, so new, already so good live.” — David Fricke, Sirius XM
“A total epiphany.” — Metal Magazine
Woomb has already made waves across Europe, with appearances at ESNS, MENT, MMB, SoAlive, and showcases across Serbia, Croatia, Hungary, and beyond. They were recently nominated for the 2025 Music Moves Europe Award and shortlisted for Most Promising Name of the Year by Kaltblut Magazine and IMPALA.
Their music was also presented at a WDR session.
Woomb’s live show is a ritual — part concert, part fever dream — where emotional depth meets raw sonic force. With growing international recognition and a truly global creative vision, Woomb is not just one to watch. They’re already here.
