The endless front: being a liberal-democrat in israel after October 7th // Lecture with Uri Misgav

Uri Misgav is an Israeli journalist, publicist, lecturer, teacher and film-director. He is considered one of the loudest opponents of Benjamin Netanyahu, and is currently facing lawsuits submitted against him by the Israeli prime minister, his son, and one of his ministers.

In his lecture, he will draw a terrifying picture of the deterioration of Israel's democracy during the Netanyahu era and especially in the time post October 7th. He will explain about the immense complexity of being a liberal democrat in Israel and fighting for peace in a society that almost entirely turned to the right after the massacre. Finally, he will discuss the liberal dilemma of supporting and fighting for the Jewish state while utterly rejecting its government.
