Transforming Body Landscapes
Each individual body forms its own landscape, consisting of the interior (breathing spaces, fluids, bones, tissues as well as emotional states, tendencies, affects, intellectuality, etc.) and the exterior (surface, skin, social becoming, physical treats, relationships, etc.). Together with other bodies, objects, architectures and places, the bodies form landscapes in space.
The aim of the workshop is to immerse ourselves in the possibilities of these landscapes: both inside and outside and their possible new combinations. We will experiment with group scores or algorithms, poetic images and Instant-Composition. Improvisation and group tasks will lead to creative processes that will help us reflect on the aesthetics of today’s stages and question the relationship between art, everyday life and embodied thinking.
In the warm-up phase, we will train body and spatial awareness, non-verbal communication, movement and improvisation.
In the creative sessions, we will create choreographies and compose them as a group. Inspired by Butoh dance and performance art, we will explore the possibilities of body expression and symbolic imagery.
The body, movement and poetry form the basis of the work. In some exercises and phases of the workshop, we will consciously use breath, voice or text to add a sound dimension to the movement landscapes.

Coordination and composition in space
Body anatomy & somatics for deeper exploration
Various performative games
Open level: This workshop is open to any level of theatrical or dance experience. It requires a certain artistic sensitivity and open-mindedness enough to deal with complex terms or instructions.
