The next edition of miniLab brings more sonic experiments, always with great improvisers, this time with Edith Steyer (clarinet,sax) in a solo set, guitarist and miniLab organizer Laura.aLL (guitar, electronics_solo set), and the duo Only with you (Korhan Erel & Eliad Wagner, electronics). As usual, we close the evening with an improvisation featuring all the musicians of miniLab 11.

Die nächste Ausgabe des miniLabs bringt weitere Klangexperimente, immer mit Improvisationstalente in dem Line-up, diesmal mit Edith Steyer (Klarinette, Saxophon) in einem Solo-Set, der Gitarristin und miniLab-Organisatorin Laura.aLL (Gitarre, Elektronik – Solo-Set) und dem Duo Only with you (Korhan Erel und Eliad Wagner, Elektronik). Wie üblich schließen wir den Abend mit einer Improvisation ab, an der alle Musiker des miniLab 11 teilnehmen.

Edith Steyer
Edith Steyer is a free improvising clarinet and saxophone player with her roots in jazz and classical music of the 20th century. As a former student for social anthropology she is also interested in ethnic music. She is dedicated to the exploration of her instruments and works with different preparations and elements like drum skins, water and wind and lately also with electronic devices. Aside from working on a solo concept, her foremost interest is to create intelligently woven interactions and sound scapes with other artists. For that she is using timbre, noises and tonal or melodic fragments.

Only with you _ duo
‘Only With You’ are Korhan Erel and Eliad Wagner - two highly experienced composers / performers of experimental electronic music. The duo came together for this collaborative project with the shared idea that technology is a place where meaning is created and explored (not just a tool to express meaning). The artists choose different specific tools to explore, tools that hold particular semiotic meaning, and interact with these in the process of performance, composition and improvisation.

Laura.aLL (guitar, electronics)
Laura.aLL is a Laura Leiner’s music project. She is a guitarist, experimental composer and curator. As well as playing guitar in different contexts, ranging from ambient music and electroacoustic to noise and trip rock, she works with diverse experimental settings, exploring the sound of strings, objects or even of public spaces, using effects, synthesizers, field recordings or recycled instruments. The brazilian artist works and lives in Berlin and since 2004 she has been the guitarist of the band M.i.p.V _ Músicas intermináveis para Viagem (“Endless Music For Tripping”).
